In Greene County district court Patrick Ryan Thompson Sr, 22, of Grand Junction was sentenced Nov. 15 after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of felon in possession of a firearm. He was sentenced to five years in prison. The prison term was suspended and he was placed on probation for three years. He was fined $750 with a $262.50 surcharge. He must also pay $310 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $140 court costs. (Sentencing: Honorable Adria A. Kester)
Danielle L. Yager, 27, of Carnarvon was sentenced Nov. 18 after she pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of methamphetamine. She was sentenced to two days in jail; the jail time was suspended. She was fined $500 with a $175 surcharge. She must also pay a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge, a $10 surcharge for drug abuse resistance education (DARE), $750 restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees and $126.72 court costs. Her driver’s license was revoked for 180 days. A charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed. (Sentencing: Kester)
Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: Cordilla Kay Lorentzen, 22, of Scranton, assault with intent causing injury, serious injury by vehicle, child endangerment, and harassment; and Richard Allen Frye, 33, of Grand Junction, burglary-third degree, and theft-first degree. Trial dates were set for Jan. 28 in both cases.
A cases was initiated against Clay Wayne Hoffman, 28, of Sioux City on a charge of assault on a peace officer and criminal mischief-fourth degree.
